Our founding team is building the intelligence layer itself, the models and logic that reason over architectural intent. You will build the backend that connects that intelligence to the actual product: the APIs, data flow and infrastructure that turn its output into something the frontend can ship. As a founding engineer, the systems you design now are the ones the whole product is built on.
What You Will Do
- •Design and build the backend that connects the intelligence layer to the rest of the product
- •Build the APIs and data models that the frontend and the intelligence layer both rely on
- •Own infrastructure decisions early: how data flows, how it is stored, how it scales
- •Work directly with the founding team to turn their models and logic into a reliable, production backend
- •Ship fast and iterate directly against real feedback from architects testing early versions
- •Use modern AI-assisted tools as part of your everyday workflow
Requirements
- •Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- •Strong fundamentals in backend engineering: APIs, data modeling, system design
- •Comfortable working close to model output, wiring it into a real product rather than just calling an API
- •High agency, you do not wait to be told what to do
- •Clear written and spoken English
Nice to Have
- •Experience integrating LLMs or ML models into production backends
- •Exposure to constraint solvers (OR-Tools, CP-SAT or similar)
- •Exposure to architecture, construction or spatial/3D tools (Rhino, Revit, SketchUp)
- •Experience shipping a product from zero to one on a small team
